I've got the car running pretty good but I just want to double check the rotor phase thing.
I'm using an MSD crank trigger, locked down distributor, and sequential FAST. The crank trigger and FAST ref angle are set at 50 degree BTDC. The timing light agrees with the timing table.
Now on the distributor I remove the reluctor and removed all but one tab. I then drilled and tapped in a couple of set screws. I lined up the reluctor tab to pass the sensor when the #1 cylinder is lined up with the rotor cap. The distributor is set to do this at 60 degrees BTDC.
Is this correct? What exactly is the phase rotor telling the FAST?
Thanks for any help
