Fastest TR on stock turbo?

Discussion on another board posed this question and I'm curious too. How long do you typically keep the stock turbo, as far as HP/TQ and quarter mile performance before you've gotten all you need to out of it?

with the Stock Motor, you could go 12.0's@113 in a TR and probably 116 in a TTA before you would run out of turbo.

Basically, you could keep the stock turbo until you need to put a roll bar in it.

It's easier to run 12.0's with a TA49 than a stock turbo, though. So around 12.20's its easier to buy a bigger turbo, than trying to go faster with the stocker.

I ran 12.1's in my 130K mile motor with stock turbo, front mount, D5 converter and Terry Houston Down pipe. It probably would have went further If I wouldn't have gotten greaty and installed a TE-52 turbo By the way my Turbo TA just dynoed 475 ft/tq with 19lbs boost on the stock turbo.
