Fastest Turbo Buick?

I was on the V8 Buick Board checking out pics of John Schmidt's new tube chassis Riviera, which is destined for a turbo V-6, when a question came up. I posted that the best ET for a Buick-bodied, Buick-powered car was Mike Ragusa, who went (I believe) 7.58 in an 87 Regal twin turbo. One of the other guys brought up that he thought Kenny Dutweiler went 7.20s with his red Regal, before he went into the sixes with his Cutlass. I was hoping someone here could clarify this for us. Kenny Duttweiler is the still the fastest as far as I know running 7.29 in the red Regal......

Watch out for Bill Anderson (EightSecV6) though cause he has a pretty serious TR.......

hehe yeah it's irrelevant to this thread, but LC has run 6.55 @212mph with his Tweaked II Camaro..... He wanted to play with the big boys so he had to get into a more aerodynamic car and use more cubes and two more cylinders to be competitive.....

Ken Duttweiler went 7.20 @180 with his red car he sold to Ron Luman. The same motor in his olds went 6.8 @ 204. Keep in ming that Kenny did not have alot of time to race the car. I am sure both cars had more in them. Bob Borelli and Ron Luman have also gone 7.5.

It is funny that you are mention John's car, I have heard for the last 2 months what a big secret it it from fellow racers and the engine builder.

do any of you guys remember that white twin turbo regal BUDDY INGERSOLL had in the late 80's? it ran 7.40's and gave BOB GLIDDEN (in a blue & white 86 or 87 T-BIRD) a run for his money at an IHRA pro-stock event on ESPN. he had this car before he had the white skyhawk.

Yeah I remember Ingersoll and actually if my memory serves me correct he ran in the 7.30's with it...... That was pretty damn good considering he was using mechanical fuel injection!!!

Hey John, I got the clutch, just finished machining the bell hsg. to accomodate it at 2 am today, it is in the car . I am hopefully finishing it today aqnd racing sat. or Sun.
