Fathers Day Gift?

Alright fathers day is approaching fast and i need an idea to what to get my pops. It can be GN related or not. Bare in mind i am a poor college student and i think the most i am willing to spend to get out of the dog house is $150. Any replies are appreciated

Does he live near you or will you be sending this gift to him? It may sound corny and old fashioned, but usually the best thing to do is to go spend some time together. For father's day I took the wife and her parents to one of those cook it in front of you, almost set you on fire typr Japanese restaurants. I even got out of there for a little over 100 bucks.........I just think that, if it is possible, you should spend time doing something rather than giving something (and maybe save a few bucks while you're at it. )

sorry DCEPTCN, I am taking summer school at SIUC and am unable to make it back to Chi-town because of crummy weekend class .
My family just purchased an 04 Prius and was hoping to get something for it (too bad its already fully loaded). Pops mentioned that he wanted to put a K&N air filter on it but K&N have so far been able to manufacture an air filter to go with all the close engine management of the car .

Not to get off topic but DCEPTCN, how did you like the jager show?

I'll try and give you the cliff notes version: Drove 8 hours each way. Got a screw in the tire as soon as I got into town. Got jacked for $90 on a motel room. Stood (NOT sat) in line for 4 hours in the blazing AZ heat, by the time they opened the doors, I was already beat. Devildriver cancelled, Hemlock replaced them (they sucked BAD) Chimaira rocked, FF put on a dry show, Slipknot wasn't much better (maybe coveralls and 100 degree heat?) We all stopped chanting 'Slipknot, Slipknot' and just kept shouting 'Water, Water' all night. Went back to the motel room so dehydrated and on the verge of collapse that I just drank ice water 'til I passed out........it really sucked, the next time I have to travel to a show, it'll be north!

Then, of course, I get the new Slipknot and it sounds like crap. That Hell of a show will be made up for soon, though because I'm seeing FF with Soulfly at a little club in Albuquerque on August 18th.



I don't know who introduced the bands when you saw it, but we got the infamous 'Lizard Man'!

I just bought something that I'm sure your dad is going to like since all Dads enjoy a good flashlight.

It's an LED waterproof flashlight that has a 320 hour runtime and is super bright! Cost me 34 bucks from www.zbattery.com I got the 3C version.

If you've never seen or used one, they put a maglight to shame when you're in the dark.

I plan on buying my dad one soon since I know he would never spend 34 dollars on a flashlight.
