Lately I have been listening to Blue Oyster Cult on YouTube. I have been enjoying the surreal sounds of the band. I was wondering if anyone else likes BOC and what song they like?

Boc

Saw them in the 70's they opened for Uriah Heep. Uriah was the big band and BOC was just gettin started. However I Like Godzilla ...oh no there goes Tokyo go..go ..Godzilla. The guitar is good on that song. There best song ever by them would have to be Don't fear the Reaper.

Boy I'm glad that people know the other songs from BOC, then there biggest hits.

I really like Veteran of the Psychic Wars, Astronomy, and Take Me Away.
Also I like there big hits too, like Reaper and Burning For You.
I'm going to start digging deeper into this band and find some more tunes.
Looks like RUSH will be on the back burner for awhile.

Seen them live about 1981 or so at the
Checker Dome in St.Louis

They blew Foghat off of the stage.
Place went crazy when the Giant Godzilla was brought out.
Hey, man pass that!:D

Best overall album had to be "On Your Feet or On Your Knees" live from around 75-76. Best of the later works is arguably the "Fire of Unknown Origin" album. (83?) Saw them open for Rush on the "Power Windows" tour in 86 and they still "had it" set wasn't long enough though....

The best BOC song ever is Hot Rails to Hell on the live album.

ME262 also kicks ass.

Evidently Foghat wasn't afraid to tour with openers who could blow them off the stage. I saw Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band do it, too.

Still loved Foghat, though.

"Workshop of the Telescopes" is a decent compilation 2 CD's, some studio some live.

And it has the cool encore they used to do " We Gotta Get Out Of This Place "

A great Animals tune.

Nobody has mentioned " Cities On Flame... " another early hit.

Classic Vinyl on Sirius plays a lot of great old tunes.

I've been listening to BOC since I was in middle school. Class of 78. Even their crappy B-sides are good.(Burning 4 U).Joan Crawford, RU Ready To Rock,BlackBlade. I can remember when my wife moved in and she saw all of the vinyl in my turntable rack. So the next time BOC was in town(Biketoberfest 05)we rode over and saw them for free. Nothing like the big arenas they used to play but even with out the blinding lasers they were good. And she wanted me to drag all of the vinyl so they could autograph them for her. Trying to explain that not all of them are the original members and autographing an album they didn't play on was futile.
