fbody gear box

Thought i would try here first. Looking for a gear box for an 89 camaro or any fbody 86-92 .I do have a gear box out of an 87 gn that i will trade.

I was going to try bolting it up tomorrow just to see.Now I know. thanks a bunch

it will bolt in and work but the internal stops are diffrent.the 12:1 ratio is the same as i believe it is also in some bigger full size cars like the cop car caprices and impala ss but again those cars also have the stops set up diffrently. i believe this to be from diffrent wheel sizes and diffrent wheel well sizes .car craft or hotrod did a big write up on these in the past because these boxes are a great upgrade for the 60's-70's cars
if you need a f body box i have one out of a 87 gta that i am parting. $50 plus shipping.

Internal stops are the same. The stops are different on the lower control arms. You can confirm this by looking up the part numbers for the internal stops in the parts catalogs instead of relying on third party information published in Car Hack magazine. I cringe every time somebody publishes a junkyard guide parts story. They are going to get some goober in deep chit someday.
