Jay , would this be for a street car or a Race car ?

We are working on a race car application! However we have already discussed this with the guy and making it for the street car would not add much for to the cost, it would be a two part mold! Top half for the race stuff then he could add a backing for street stuff...

We had a glass front clip on TWEAKED. Not sure who made it, But lets just say we had a really good body man to make it fit & straight. It had more waves in it then a Mardi Gras parade.

My thinking is if I have to restore the car . I would like to do it only once. That is why I am /was inquiring into a body that is something else than steel. Steel is going to rust again.

An if the expense was reasonable , I would like to go that route.

Just thinking out loud.

carbon fiber fiber glass good but old

if you going to spend the thousands like cycle j said, at least make it out of carbon kevlar or dry carbon

I heard from a fabricator for the army that you can mix in some layers of carbon kevlar thread to make fiber glass 3x as strong. but then he told me that ceramic (special of course) is being used for armor on the vehicals over seas fighting the war. Their used on cars that patrol known IED road. Would any vendor with a fiber glass mold be willing to just throw in some carbon kevlar at least?????

steel - aluminum - fiber glass - fiber glass with kevlar - treated ceramic
in order steel being the least efficient and heaviest, and treated ceramic being the lightest and strongest
