Less than one year after the accident my new car is up and running.

It hasn't been an easy road, it sure as hell hasn't been a cheap road, but it's done.

Special thank you to all of you who donated when you downloaded the Service Manual. That really helped ease alot of the financial burden. Every little bit helped.

I will have the car at the BPG nats so if anyone wants to stop and see where their donation went just stop by and see it! If you can't make it to the BPG Nats check out http://buick.r00td0wn.net and you can download the video of the car starting for the first time.

Thanks again to everyone that has helped. :D

Congrats man im glad to see you got it back and running, that looked like a hell of a lot of work. I liked the video, reminded me of all the times ive started something up after a long time and have to run around like crazy lookin at oil pressure, leaks, temp, etc. But it looks and sounds good man.

Thanks for checking out the video!

Yeah, you do have to run around like a chicken with your head cut off when you fire things up. I swear I don't think I was that nervous when my son was born!

Isn't that rumble a beautiful sound?

Jeremy!

Glad to hear you got your heap running!! I'll check out the video later (codecs didn't agree with my computer).

Get some tags on it and drive it on up to BPG. See ya there!

What the hell is going on is that video not a winamp file. because i get it to pop up but i only hear sound and no picture, and everything seems to be right. but the car looks great from some of the pictures i was looking at.

It uses the latest DivX codec that can be found at http://www.divx.com

Download the DivX player, just watch when you install, deselect the player itself and just install the codec.

Sorry about using the latest DivX codec but video was like 140MB in MPEG2.

Kenny, I figured you'd like that voice mail ;)

Congrats on getting it running. Always good to have another BUICK back on the road. It's never cheap,But well worth it when you spank that kid in a mustang at a stop light, then when the car show trophy to boot.

Sounds great! I remember when I blew my 84 TR sky high. The scariest part about rebuilding it was starting it the very first time.

I was just under mine this evening cleaning out the gas tank and putting a new fuel pump in. I am still worried about the idle and will probably make a video of it starting and running and see if anyone can help me just by the sound. Maybe I am just paranoid.

Being paranoid about these cars is not something you are doing alone. I have a very fine budget adn I always worry about breaking it and not being able to drive.

It's something we all have to face I guess!

Well, the deflabinator locked up with the thingiemacallut so the frahasinbladder wouldn't backload.

Anyway, sounds neat. <g>

Now get the WB on there, and start tuning. Now if you were to say have a BBQ, I'd bring a Defrabinator over to look at whatcha got.

Not a bad idea there Bruce! I was actually thinking of having one sometime after the BPG event.

Will you be at the BPG event? Could use your help tuning!

:D

AWESOME D00d!!

I know the feeling when a project comes together!

I think better than the car starting was tracy asking "Do ya think we should move it farther from the house in case it catches fire? With our luck. Hon? Is the fire extinguisher working?" hahaha

I know the feelin too cuz when I fired mine, I pushed it way out in the driveway!

Giood luck with it Jer. talk to you soon!

Yeah Jim it is REALLY nice to get it up and running. I can't wait to get it on the track.

A friend of mine from work came over yesterday and rubbed out the paint for me. The car looks really good. All I really have left is the air dams and the marker lights! So I should be driving it around today after work!

I'll get some better pics and get them up on the site as soon as I can drive the car.

As for the video it seems that alot of people are having problems viewing. I will re-encode and re-upload tonight.
