Hey guys i was going to buy my first boost controller and wondering what every one likes? im looking to spend about $300 to $350. Does anyone run a apexi avc digital? seen them on ebay in my price range and thought they looked kinda nice. thanks for the inputs!

I have a Greddy Profec B spec II. I paid less than $300 for it 2 years ago brand new. But now I see them for more than that. Anyway that's what I use and it works well. Instructions kinda suck and takes a little trial and error to get it set up right. For the price I'm pretty happy with it. I know that a few board members use it too.

PS..where are you at in SD?

Save your money on the high $$ boost controller- go manual (as already recommended) or with an adjustable wastegate; add an alky kit, stir, and go kill some rice:D

Seriously, before you do something you'll regret (like turn up the boost way too high on pump gas), get a scantool, and find out what your car is doing.

3bar

Their unit looks just like RJC's and a saw buck and a half cheaper. AF monitor reasonable as well.

3barracing has been there since forever, formerly called dawesdevices.

Gus mohan, RIP, was the "creator" of that so called grainger valve/boost controller.

The picture of the boost controller on that other site is the same one from Gary's donovans site.
