My 1985 T-Type has been sitting for 4-5 years. Other than replacing all fluids, battery, and exterminating the mice out of it. Is there anything else I should do before I try and start it?

hello; If it's the same fuel in it there's a problem. If it is get rid of it. Fresh fuel, full charge bat... Disconect that conn. at the pos. side of the bat. Let it turn over a bit. Reconnect and go from there.
Have fun and I'd like to here what happens.

Mark the cam sensor so you can put it in fairly easily and prime the oiling system.

With work and a baby on the way I have delayed the start up project hopefully this weekend.

Oil changed, new battery, coolant changed, Had a hard time trying to siphon out the gas, I will probably have to drop the tank this next weekend to get it all out.

My throttle body had so much corrosion that the gas petal would not move, currently torn apart and in the process of cleaning.

Bad news .... the floor pan on the drivers side is rusted out. mice damage to the interior, that's the start.

Thanks but i already got it striped down, cleaned and put back together.
I am going to attempt to drop the gas tank tomorrow.

Got the throttle body put back on this weekend and started her up. noticed that the exhaust smoke was coming out the header side of the turbo ( exhaust side). I then noticed there was no exhaust coming out the tail pipe. So I ended taking off the cat and found a mouse nest and cat to be broken. Now she sounds sweet I will have to get an exhaust dump when it is all said and done.

Now to start working on the dreaded break system the break petal won't even pump up
