Ran a 15.6 @ 86
2.3x 60' launching at 3-5psi on stock radials with little to no wheelspin
Car is an 87 GN, 160k miles on the stock drivetrain. Heads were rebuilt stock before I bought it, timing chain's replaced, 3" MAF pipe and K&N cone filter, walbro 340 hotwired and a billet afpr. Pretty much everything else is stock down to the catalytic convertor.
Engine temp was at 200*
MAT temps were at 150* (it was almost 90 outside and very humid)
0 Knock Retard the entire run
o2's started at 900 right off the line and settled down to 800 flat at the end of the run..
Fuel pressure is 40psi line off, goes to just a tad over 50psi under full stock boost at 14psi
Small leak in the headers somewhere i still cant find.
Shifted a bit hard and a few rpm too high after the whole TV fiasco i just dealt with. I ended up throwing back on the stiff stock cable I had cause it's the only one that says adjusted, but it wouldnt adjust itself so i had to move it around manually till the shifts felt as close to they used to as possible.
No TCC lockup.
Usually when i launch it at 0 psi boost it just fries the tires
Does this sound right? I think either my transmission is slipping all the way through due to the TV not being adjusted right. I understand the crappy air wont help much and the stock cat probably isnt helping a lot, but I figured it would be at least a 15 flat... Does this still sound like a transmission issue? Hooker catback and test pipe will be on it's way soon and a new TV cable from GM is on order to take care of those 2 possibilities.
Ahh well, at least it can't get any worse as I mod it now
EDIT: is there something wrong with the search function? I cant seem to search....
