A week ago or so I posted a question about what a bad converter might sound like. Well by brothers truck started to do the same thing , of course while I was using it. He ordered a new converter and I put it in for him. I found a busted flexplate! I put in the new converter in anyway - on a new flex plate of course.
I bet that noise comming from my GN is the same thing. All the same sounds in the same order. 1st sound like a loose shield on the exhaust system, then a more noticeable frequency to the sound - one that matched engine RPM, quite at RPM's above about 2,500 or at lock up. - Got to be it. I hope.
Anything specific I should look for in a flex plate?
