My GN floor is rotted out to the max. Took the seats and carpet out today and there is no hope. The pasenger side pan might be salvagable. My question to you guys is this. Anyone know anything about the company Classic 2 Current fabrication? I see they have an entire floor in there for $289.00 which seems to be a fair price. I am open to any advice on the direction to go. Have any of you paid to have this done? What kind of money are we talking about to have the floor cut out and a new pan welded back in place? I will be getting a quote when I can find a reputable shop in my area that can get the job done in a reasonable amount of time. Thanks for any help.

I would get either a two section floor pan or 4 section floor pan. One section floor pan would be hard to install and to ship.

Yes like posted up above get a two piece. I want to say i paid $900 to have them done and that was pans included. I bought them from rockauto.com

I looked at those floor pans also. $289.00 was a great price then I got to the shipping quote. Shipping was $189.00:eek:. the thing that sucks with the floor pans is there are no braces anywhere. All the seat and center console perches have to removed from old floor and reinstalled on new floor. The big problem is the under floor bracing. If thats rotted you have to fab that up or get a doner car and cut them out. $900 for floor pans and installing them is cheap. To put that floor in right is a lot of work. Im doing a frame off right now and I found stuff that the body shop told me to leave alone and just treat and coat it. No way I will do that. Give me any car on this site and I will show you rust. Gm squeezed in the seam sealer and painted over it while it was damp. Dig out any seam sealer on these cars and you will find rust:mad: Poor quality control.

Wow that's not bad 900 to have them done including pans

My painter just finished painting my 86 and was hurting for money so i let him paint my 87 and do floors. He did a good job but bitched about what a pain it was and he did it too cheap lol but he also had it for 4 months:rolleyes:
