FNG ,question

I have My adjustable waste gate set at the recommended # full turns pre- load, by decreasing this pre - load a couple of turns will that decrease my boost level? I own a 87 GN and the previous owner had the boost at 19 -20 and from what I have read on here thats too high for my set up.And yes I am ordering a scan tool so I can try to begin to get it right. thanks, Rob.

Yes, less spring tension will result in less boost depending on how the chip is burned and if the factory boost solenoid is working properly.
