Do you guys pay attention to the orientation of the stamped teeth on frictions and steels?

I am aware of them when I assemble but i dont line them up at all.

The only ones I pay attention to the orientation of is the steels in the O.D. clutch. :smile:

I am talking about the way the stamped teeth are done--one side smooth the other side sharp. Do you pay attention as to which way they are installed ?

Only on the direct clutch pressure plate. Flat side faces snap ring.

The rounded edge would face the snap ring for smoother apply stroke.

I'm more worried about how the plate loads the snap ring.

I don't because the friction doesn't ride there. As long as they go up and down in the drum without sticking you should be good to go.
