This post stems from a call to Julio from earlier in the day. I was looking for the Voltage to Temperature conversion chart for the 5V input I recently wired into my ECU (Haltech E6K). I'm looking to datalog EGT's with the probe mounted in the exhaust manifold (our engines have two exhaust runners that merge together). I purchased the EGT 5V adaptor from O2simulator.com. It's designed to take the output leads off a Type K EGT probe and convert it to +5VDC to be used for any kind of logging.

Here's the conversion chart I just created:

O2 Simulator EGT Type K Probe +5VDC convertor chart

Volts / Temp *C / Temp *F

1.25 / 250 / 482
1.50 / 300 / 572
1.75 / 350 / 662
2.00 / 400 / 752
2.25 / 450 / 842
2.50 / 500 / 932
2.75 / 550 / 1022
3.00 / 600 / 1112
3.25 / 650 / 1202
3.50 / 700 / 1292
3.75 / 750 / 1382
4.00 / 800 / 1472
4.25 / 850 / 1562
4.50 / 900 / 1652
4.75 / 950 / 1742
5.00 / 1000 / 1832

And attached is the AEMPro conversion chart photo used as the initial reference.

FYI:

my calibration is:

500C = 932F = 5.107 AD595V/2 = 2.554

900C = 1652F = 9.233 AD595V/2 = 4.617

Thanks for taking the time to make the chart..

I downloaded the graphical chart off of the o2Simulator website in the EGT section (if you can call it that since the site has been re-vamped and re-done). The numbers I provided are what I created based off of three solid points on that graphical chart - 0, 2.5, and 5VDC.

I can try and verify atleast roughly if it's accurate according to my EGT gauge, but so far it appears to be.
