My neighbour has a F350 and suddenly, the truck will no longer get out of 4x4 low. I think it is probably a sticking shuttle valve or actuator (??)
Anyone know where to start and estimated parts cost?

Trying to help them out since they are retired.

Electronic shift? Vehicle speed must be under 3 mph, brake (or clutch) applied, and vehicle in Neutral, then change to 4x2 mode. GEM module must see all these happen. TR sensor(neutral safety switch) tells GEM when neutral has been selected. HTH.

Mike,
THANKS! It worked.
Told my neighbor that next time we will read the instructions first.

Jerryl, glad I could help. Now if it WON'T go into 4X4, that's probably a bad part,or something simple like a vacuum hose come loose. Found some where one side Hub-lock was on Auto, the other on Free(wheel), makes a lotta noise
