Found this spring in the pan.

Hi all,

I bought a core to try and rebuild. I pulled the pan just to have a look and its in bad shape for sure. Aside from a lot of sludge, I found this little spring.

For fun, does anybody recognize it? Curious what could have failed to put that guy in the pan. It doesn't look chewed up at all.

That too beefy for a gov spring, it looks like a return spring from forward or direct. Or somebody toss it in there to be funny.
