Are the frames on an 87 regal the same as an 86 El Camino?

Can they be directly swapped?

No. The wheelbase is different. The El Camino uses a G-body Wagon frame.

I thought it was wagon frame too but car driveshaft fit right in wagon

elcamino is longer by 8-9" and slightly different from rear end back
