Clear cool day at the track
Test and tuning started a little late due to a shower at 7:30. We got four test and tune runs in before eliminations started. Great fun was had by all.
Paul V. had disaster strike when a timing chain break, which proceded to break off the front of his crankshaft. Ouch, big repair bill for that WE4
Personal best times were obtained by Mary F., Marilyn, B. Rich G., and others since the air was so good and the track was really hooking.
Mike our member who lives in China happened to be over and brought his Grand National that only has 15,000 miles. It is kept at his Stateside residence in Chicagoland. He had to leave early to get ready for an early morning flight back to Bejing.
The other group there was the Ford Lightning trucks which were fun to watch. Ralph Pote won Bracket one and Monte won the Lightning truck bracket race. Paul Brelie won bracket 2 and Steve Blakenship won bracket 3.
Really cooled off toward 4PM when we were leaving.
