I have my new parts in from Chris at CK. The trans shop that is building is backed up so it will be a week or two before it is done.

My question is is there a break in period in a rebuild tranny? I know most people recomend that you take it easy on an engine for the first 500 miles or so before you start hammering into it.

Should you do this with a tranny as well? I was just curious after the rebuild once I make sure it is shifting right can I lay into it?

Thanks,
Matthew

Well I would think a break in period would be a good idea, but when Lonnie Diers finished my buddies car, he did a 20 PSI tranny brake dump not a mile from the house...It still works after 2 years of HARD driving, and going LOW LOW LOW 11's.

Not that I would recommend doing that.
