Front Control Arms

Need to replace the front lower arms on my 99 GS and wondering the best way to go about it. The bolts look pretty simple, but what about the ball joint? Do I have to remove the axle to get that out? If so, what the best way to do this?

No, you don't need to remove the axle. It's pretty close to get the nut off, but once the stud drops out it will clear.
