front cover removal!?!?

got everything off the car in order to do a cam swap. even got that pain in the A$$ harmonic balancer bolt out, but i cannot get the front cover off. anyone have any tips.

Make sure you have removed all the cover bolts. There is one on the passenger side that likes to hide. Good lighting may reveal the offender.

got that one, almost positive that i have got them all. it wont budge, been on there since 1986. i'll check again to see if i missed any.

Make sure you got the crank sensor ones out as well. If all is out and your sure of it, get a gasket scraper and put it between the mating surfaces. Make sure you have a nice sharp blade and dont scratch the metal badly.

Should be 11 front cover bolts plus 3 oil pan for front cover removal.

Redo the oil pump and port everything while in there..good luck
