Front Cover Seal....

I just recieved my new factory front cover equipped with the rope seal assembly,should I replace the rope seal with the new neoprene seal prior to installing the cover ? I'm thinking that this would be a good preventive measure ....any thoughts on this or because the front rope isn't a common leaker like the rear rope just leave it alone ? What are your thoughts ?

How are you going to put in the neoprene seal? I thought the aftermarket front covers that used a neoprene seal had a different design, or, you needed to somehow modify a factory cover to accept the neoprene seal..

You just smack out that retaining ring in the back of the cover...It's "staked" in there..Couple hits with a rubber mallet or small sledge and the ring pops out and you can drop the neoprene in there
