Ok, I'm ready to do the front end kit from P-S-T and I need to decide whether to get rubber or poly bushings. I keep hearing people say the poly ones squeek real bad, others say theirs are fine. Is there something that can be done when installing them???

Go poly?
Go rubber, it'll be better than crappy wore out rubber?

While you have everything apart: be certain to clean any kind of rust/paint off the areas that rub/move against the poly parts(get the steel shiny). Then lube real well with a moly base grease as assembling. Take the A-arm bushings completely apart and be sure to grease them really good. My whole front suspension is poly- never a peep!! ;) Poly makes a BIG difference in handling on these babies, and they need all the help they can get. You sacrifice a bit in comfort, but can feel the road much better.

Thanks for the feedback. I do plan on making good use of the sandblasting booth at work on these parts. I kinda figured that they needed to be greased before instalation.

Sandblasting will leave a textured finish on the metal. Any areas that are in contact with the poly need to be smooth(as in polished). Places like where the swaybar rides in the bushings, should be finished with a wire wheel. Anywhere else- blasted/painted surfaces are great. Have fun, and enjoy your new steering response! ;)
