Had to remove my triangulated front-end brace when I switched from a front mount intercooler to a PTE SLIC (best decision I ever made). Would really like to add braces to triangulate the front end but the IC sits down so low, maybe someone could develop a new design, I really love laying into the off ramps at vey fast speeds and the brace really does make a difference.

Hey MIke,

I'm also running the triangulated front frame braces from Kirban with my PTE SLIC. They fit mine just fine, with no problems. I'll admit there's not much clearance though...but no clearance issues here.

If you really want to feel a difference....install HRpartsNstuff's rear sway bar!

Thank you for the replys, I'll slide under there and see if I monkey with them and get them to fit, can somone post a pic of their install? Dave, the rear sway bar/lower and upper weld-in frame braces and upper control arms are the last group of mods on the list, I sold the air bags in preparation for the install. The car runs so much better without that gigantic block in front of my radiator.

Well I screwed around with them today. The driver's side is on but I really do not see the passenger's side going on at all, drilling new mounting holes will not help as the angle of the bar is way off because of the intercooler, what is your trick? If I heat the bar and bend it it seems like that would weaken the bar? Pics?

Don't know Mike,

Mine just bolted on , no fussing or messing with it.

Guess it's a tolerance thing? You know the manufacturing tolerances used on these cars back in the day was pretty inconsistent to say the least.

My car is 1 hour away in storeage at the moment so I can't run out to the gargage and take some pictures. However, when its' back on the road again ...I'd be happy to post some pics for you.

Good Luck.

I bolted mine on the frame rail marked it where it hit the intercooler removed it cut 3/4 the way through the back side then reinstalled it and bent to fit then welded the cut closed and painted it. it looks like it was made that way and the holes still lined up it worked out sweet....
