front main

can a bad bearing in the front main cause a knock? I pulled all the caps and the front main is the only thing not perfect.

Maybe, post some GOOD pics of the brgs??? Might be, someone could spot other issues.

it is not any of the bearings. The pistons move around on the pin, what else is left? I already looked at the rocker arm shafts . The knock seems to be on the right side. Also, the crank was perfect until i pulled the front upper bearing. now it has a 1" light scrath in the center.

A picture sure would help. Is all the coating off the bearing shell or just a scratch? The clearance has to be increased to cause a sound.

motor is coming out. I can't find any thing wrong. The knock is coming from some where.
