Thanks for all the input guys looks like I will be use my money somewhere else. No FMIC for me, well for now. I may go alky but not know I wanna see what I can do without alky on the track 1st with MT DR;s, some race fuel, a RJC power plate, TT race chip and some more boost. After this its mexcio for 20 days and then alky, maybe?

8TurboT7,
I agree with Christophah, the front mount won't do much for you at this point. As my sig indicates, I do have one but it came with the rolling chassis I bought and I didn't have a stocker laying around. Why are you opposed to Alky? It is a very effective, priced well, and will work with any future mods. With the addition of a FMIC, you will need to upgrade your fuel delivery.

I definitely disagree that it won't help. I went from 13.20's to 12.70's going from stock big neck to DeQuick V2 frontmount, with a small te34 turbo, on 93 octane no alky. He may not have the fuel system to support it, and there are other mods that make more sense first, but it will definitely help.

I didn't indicate that it wouldn't help, just that he wouldn't see much gain for the $$$ spent as compared to the gains seen from an Alky kit.

Stretched Stock Location Intercooller

Hello I have a stretched stock location intercooler that I just took of my car. I would like to get $450 o.b.o. shipped. You can give me a call at (214) 753-7201 and ask for Lorenzo. I can email pictures on request. Also I attached a link to the intercooler I have.

Intercooler Guide

You're welcome. Someone pointed me that way awhile back...glad I could be of assistance. I believe the gentleman that started the site is on turbobuicks.com alot... Could be mistaken.

Looks like COTTONS Front Mount Intercooler is one of these best, but I was also thinking about the RJC Racing front mount. Any input on the RJC Racing front mounts?

Dick Kereny runs the RJC unit on his eight second 109 block car. Many others have bought the RJC unit and it appears there is a lot of happy customers out there and a lot of data on intake temps to be had from Jason and Cal. If I was in the market for a off the shelf unit I would go with the RJC or Lonnies V1. These units are on the fastest TSM cars in the field and that says a lot!!!!

For a 13 second car however I would stick to a stock location unit.

If your turbo is in fact an original GNX turbo, I would take it off the car and get another turbo to run with. I would then take the GNX turbo and shelf it or sell it. jmo

There ya go! Sell the GNX turbo on ebay and that will finance quite a bit of what you want to do. That is in fact if it is authentic.:)

Cottons

Call and discuss your plans with Jack Cotton. He will NOT sell you parts that you do not need. Depending on what your goals are down the road, you might want a nice front mount. Buy the right one so you don't have to upgrade later.

Me too!!! :D I compared em side by side, now that I've been able to build them in quanity, without lowering quality, it's better built with better components all the way around. The only downside of the Cottons IC was the price.... That is no longer the case. If you want the best product for the best price, give me a call...

Please share some of the test data on your new intercooler, MAT's, ambient temps and et's on the test vehicle.

That's what I was thinking of also...
I know alot of people are saying use the stock location with the alky, but I was thinking that if plans were to run faster, then why not step up to the front mount and build the car up reliably, and then safely add power.

I'm here to learn, so please don't think that I'm being a smart @$$.
