front mount

i know some say a front mount is overkill on a street car but it seems all the cars w/a front mount run a bit faster than those w/stock location intercoolers. if i upgraded the cooling system to keep temps in check would my car be faster w/a front mount than with an upgraded stock location intercooler assuming i had a te-44, 50's, and a 3" DP?

Generally people with front mounts have a lot more done to their cars than just a TE44, 50's, and a 3" DP. For your combo a stock location intercooler is all you'll ever need. How ever, if you plan on going much faster (i.e. 10's and lower) in the future you may want to only buy an intercooler once and go ahead and get the front mount. But like I said earlier, you wont need it if that is the combo you plan on sticking with.
