Customer states fuel guage inop. OMG this could've been bad. I believe this is a supra pump. Looks like it's time for a wiring upgrade.

that could have been VERY bad! Good catch.........
 
Not the first one of those to be posted on here...shows what happens to 30 year old undersized wiring for what we do to these things with hot wire and larger pumps and volt boosters.

Mine did that, in the 55. ALL new wiring. Aftermkt tank hanger. I drilled the hanger top, ran the wire thru a grommet, directly to the pump. [The wires were of sufficient size, to begin with. The poor, push on connections were the issue.]
