I have recently installed a new fuel tank (from Napa) and a new in-tank 340lph Racetronix fuel pump (wired to the Alt. w/Racetronix harness) into my '87 GN. I used the fuel pump tank seal that came with the new tank. After the initial install and starting the car I noticed fuel coming from the top of the tank and running down the sides. So I dropped the tank and checked it out, I noticed the fuel pump tank seal was loose to the point I could easily rotate the pump by grabbing the lines. So I bought a new fuel pump seal from O'Reilly's and installed it. I put 12v to the pump with the tank out of the car and I did not see any leaks from the seal or lines, the lines were not connected to the car. Thinking that I fixed it I reinstalled the tank and fired up the car. After approx. 30-45sec. of running the same fuel leak occurred.
I am taking a break from it for now. I am thinking that maybe there is some issue with the return line. I am using the proper fuel injection hose and clamps. Has anyone had this problem before?
