I have green top injectors & I'm running 42psi @ idle is tht to much fuel for these injectors ? I dont know the actual size of the injectors. My chip says thrasher 42 1/2. but my car is not running right could this be the problem ?

The pressure is more a fucntion of the chip writer than the injectors.
Usually, most are around 43-45 PSI.
If you don't know the actual size of the injectors, that could very well be the problem. If you someone worked on the car and you purchased it, my advice is to "Question Everything they did, say they did, or promised to get done". :eek:

Do you have a scantool to post some data?
What does the car do, or not do?

Contact TurboTweak Home for a chip and injectors and call it a day on the chip injector department :cool:

Did you do a static FP setting? (Engine idle, regulator hose off and plugged)

As long as the cruise and idle blm's are spending most of the time around 128 in closed loop then the fuel pressure is ok. If the numbers are under 128 then the fp is too high and the ecm cant pull out enough pulse width to get to stoic. Usually you can go at least 5 psi either way and its still ok for cruise and idle. It will richen or lean at WOT though.
 
If by the green top injectors you mean the Bosch 42 or 42.5 lb. Ford Lightning injectors then get yourself a Turbo Tweak chip.

I don't think thrasher made a chip for them.

I run 45psi. static with my Turbo Tweak alky. chip for the Bosch green top 42.5lb. injectors and it runs and drives great. :cool:

There may be more than one green top and green stripe injector, your best bet would be to find and post the number off one of them.
