Hey guys, I had a weird thing happen to me last night. I drove about an hour to the track, made a few passes and went to check my fuel pressure just for kicks. I did a dumb thing and loosened the lock nut on the Accufab regulator without having the allen wrench in the allen bolt and I watched the pressure drop from 43 psi to 0 and kill the engine. After this I could not get the car to hold more than 20 psi on its own and could only keep the car idling while I gave it gas. The fuel pressure continued to drop until it killed the engine. This went on for a bit while I tried to get fuel back up with the regulator until the car wouldn't start anymore. I turned the regulator to reduce fuel pressure a bit and unhooked the orange wire to clear the ecm just for the heck of it. Shortly after this, the car fired up and ran no problem and held pressure at 45 psi line off no problem. I let it idle there for about 30 minutes and it seemed fine. I packed up and drove home about an hour without a problem at all. I got into boost when I got close to my house and the car felt like a pig, I watched the gauge show about 15 psi worth of boost but I was not accelerating anywhere near where I should have been. At the track we thought the fuel pump had crapped out, but I drove it home no problem. Do you guys think this is fuel system related, electrical or something else? Could I have relieved pressure from not having the allen bolt in the regulator? I think it's very weird I was able to drive with no boost no problem and once I got into boost it was a turd. Haven't had time to get back out and try getting into boost again, but wanted to see what you guys might think it is! Any help would be appreciated. For what it's worth, I bought my Walbro 340 fuel pump in the middle of 2008 from Turbo Tweak, not sure if that was in the middle of all the junk pumps going out or not. Let me know what you think! Thanks.
