I have been chasing down knock that has come and gone and has happened at different boost levels. I am quite sure it is real.
I think it might be my fpr. Does this sound right?
I have a Kirban style regulator with the billet adjustable top. I checked to see if fp was rising with boost and it was, but im thinking that the regulator is slow . I was only able to get boost to 10 psi and check the gauge then 15 psi and check the gauge. If I jump on the throttle I will get very lean knock but if I ease into it, I get none.
The final nail in the coffin is I noticed this weird looking dust all over my regulator. I poked the hood pad and it fell apart in a perfect circle right above the fpr. I think it's leaking fuel by (super scary if so.....)
I went ahead and ordered an accufab today as the hole in the hood pad terrifies me.
Has anyone seen this before?
