So I have done a little research and pondered the topic a bit. I put a good liquid filled mechanical gauge on the hood a couple days ago. fuel pressure rock solid, 44 line off, 38 static when cold. the more I drive the car (it does get driven ALOT in town, sometimes hours at a time) and static comes down a pound maybe two, and base does drop slightly. Fuel pressure does rise 1:1 regardless. I've heard that the liquid filled gauges do not like to read accurately when hot, but once the vehicle gets driven for a long period of time, it does like to read a little lean on the WB (10.4-10.8 when cold, 11.4-12.0 when hot. both numbers are under boost of 10-16 pounds) so I would have to imagine it is reading accurately. Could this be a sign of the fuel vaporizing? I did not seem to get any knock regardless, but maybe if I bumped it up the base a pound, it should be where I want it when the car is HOT. The only problem is, it is already running a little on the rich side when it is cold.

Any collective and positive input would be appreciated. Thanks

Just touched on this a little yesterday after installing a new Racetronix 340 pump. After startup(cold), I lowered the FP to 43ish(was in the 50s!). The FP did drop as the motor warmed up(got as low as 39). I waited until it was fully warmed up and set the pressure...and observed while the motor was still running. It didn't drop any more...so it seems that it's better to set the FP when the motor is fully warmed up. Can't help on the subject of the AFR's...

Fuel temperature also affects pressure a little so keep that in mind, mine drops a little aftr good warm up & i agree to set the pressure at fully warmed up engine!
