When the key is turned to the "on" position I'm not hearing the normal buzzing when the pump primes the system. It's a walbro340 thats less than a month old and everything's plugged in properly and the fuse on the hotwire kit is good. I opened the end of the fuel rail pushed in the valve with a screwdriver and a very small amount of fuel came out. What next?

Check your fuel injection fuse in the fuse panel. Then check to see if you are getting 12 volts at the pump by probing the hot wire at the gas tank with a test lite. If you're not getting juice, it may be your fuel pump relay on the passenger fender. May also have something to do with the wiring from your oil sender. Just some stuff for you to look at.

After you check the fuel pump/inj fuse, check the dark green/wht wire going into the fuel pump relay. If the fuse is good and there is no power in the green/wht wire, when you first turn on the key, you have a bad internal computer connection to pin A1 (fuel pump prime circuit).

There will only be voltage in the green/wht wire during the time that the fuel pump prime circuit is active. In other words, it is controlled by the computer and only has power during the first 10-15 seconds after the key is turned on.

I have a bad computer in my spare parts box that did have a failed prime circuit. I solved the problem with another computer from Red Regal T.
