I have been doing a lot of reading and searching and seem not to be able to find the correct answer/solution. I am trying to location the FP trigger wire and the fuel pump sender wire at the rear tank. At the connector at the bumper, what color of wire is the trigger wire? Is it the tan/white? Now what about the fuel sender? Is it the pink/white wire?

Why am I asking this? Well I want to trigger my fuel pump controller from the trigger wire.

Now I have seen some articles that state the trigger wire is a clear shielded wire in the trunk. When I look at the wiring diagram, the gray wire the turns into the tan/white leads to the pump and I believe is the trigger wire. All help will be greatly appreciated.

I posted this really late, so I thought that A BUMP would help!

Just to be clear, the "trigger" or control wire is under the hood and it controls the fuel pump relay. The wiring at the rear of the car is the switched power that runs the pump. If you don't get an answer by this afternoon I will look at mine and get you an answer.

Sweet.....

Yes I knew about the gray wire under the hood, but though that there was also another way. Wouldn't that wire also work as a trigger since it is running through the factory harness. Just curious..

At the connector in the left rear corner of the trunk, coming from the front of the car, the copper colored wire is the fuel pump power. This wire is tan/wht when it exits that connector toward the rear of the car.

It is pin G of the C320 connector (one in the trunk). The pin designations should be molded into the connector.

Is that the same wire that is shown in the picture?

No, the one in the picture (1st post) is the connector that is under the rear bumper. It goes to the fuel pump hanger assembly. Here is a picture of the trunk connector. Note the repaired wire on the top right, that is the one that goes out to power the fuel pump.

Ok..... Little confused.

So for my controller, I am going to run a 10gage wire from BAT to Controller or ALT to the controller that is fused. The trigger wire that turns pump on and off. Also allows the pump to prime once key/ignition is activated. Now the wire in the trunk will be the wire that I will use to trigger the controller/pump as in this diagram...

The fuel pump power feed will go to that red wire on the PSC.
