I thought the pump burned itself up, but instead, it looks like the wiring shorted out and came loose from the connector.I was told this was an Armstrong pump, but have doubts after seeing what looks like serial numbers ground out. Any ideas on what pump this is?
If it's a good brand, should I run it or just trash it and buy one from Racetronix?

That appears to be the stock ground to the pump. I had the same issue with mine, the pump would shut off intermittently. I got a new hangar from Racetronix and called it a day (along with a new pump) I don't know what pump that is but I would replace it anyways.....probably didn't like the bad ground too much.

Since it's ground off, it's most likely one of Red's pumps.

The wiring for our pumps are substandard to start with and a hotwire just fixes it back to the tank.

It's pretty simple to solder a ring terminal to the hanger tube with a propane (and propane accessories) torch and some flux 'n solder.

27 year old G75 hanger. Time to replace it.

Figured it might be a better idea to replace the whole thing since the sending unit isn't accurate. The gauge reads 1/4 when the tank is empty.

The car does have a hotwire kit, but only ran back to the factory plug under the bumper...then it was just spliced in to the remaining 2ft of factory wire that goes from the plug to the tank. Made me scratch my head that someone wired it this way(didn't feel like dropping the tank maybe).
