I have a larger fuel pump in the tank......not sure which one.....previous owner. It is not hot wired as far as I see.
When I go to start the car the pump stays on.......never turns off even after a few seconds or 30 seconds.....
And sometimes when I go to start the car I have no fuel pressure showing and I run to the back and the fuel pump is not running. Now I have notice this wire running to the fuse block......it is running to a port that is not being used.......if i wiggle this the fuel pump will start running???????so obviously the wire is giving the pump power......when the car starts and is running I can wiggle the wire and nothing happens.....car stays running and fuel gauge doesnt even move.......what is this wire doing and why would someone do this???
I havent tried pulling the wire out of the fuse block yet while car is running......I will try this tommorrow
Could this be some kind of anti theft deterent??
TIA..........Nick
