Hey guys Im going to replace my fuel lines with 3/8 stainless line and was wondering what you do for the line going in to the tank. Are you just cutting the line off ware it goes from 1/4 to what ever size that is or are you replacing the hole line going in to the sending unit? Jujst seem like a waist to run a 3/8 line and then have it go down to a 1/4 at the tank. I will also be running -6 from the line to the fuel rails.
I'm doing this now since the engine is out thought it would be a good time to try and do a way with the bottle kneck in the return line and replace the old feed line with a nice new clean one.

Just use the stock feed line as your return and then run a bigger feed line. Not sure what to do about the restriction at the tank. Maybe someone has a fix for that.

I bent the feed line some how so I thought I would just replace all the lines now and get it over with while I have the engine out and out of the way.

-6?

If you want to upgrade, you need a -8 feed, and use your old feed line to return. But most GNs run 10s on stock lines.Im not sure where your damage is, but mine got kinked around the front cover area, i ran a -8 line from fitting near drivers side upper a arm to fuel rail. just needed a few AN adapters and
3' of braided hose. got all the great looks without the hassle of running lines all the way to the tank. Just my 2 cents.

Im using stock fuel rails and they have been powder coated so I dont want to do the cut and weld to them. All the fittings I have found are for -6 so I dont see a reason to go bigger then that. Im not having any feed trouble so replacing the lines with 3/8 and -6 should be more then I will need. I planed on using the origanal feed line until I bent it as the return line. I may get a tube to -6 adaptor and give it a try and if that dosnt work just replace both lines then. Ether way I need to figure out what to do at the tank the return at the tank is only 1/4.
