I ordered an alky kit today, about 2 hours later got an email saying my order was cancelled. the price was $475.01 which was paid. they said the price is $530. I have placed a few orders with full throttle and think they are a great company. I also think you should honor the price on your website and not ask for more money.

when I ordered this morning, it was $475.01 without map (have the receipt). now its $530.

Full throttle is a small business vendor to the buick community he should not have to take a loss to sell something to you, me or anyone else. If mike keeps losing money he will not be in business. Mike is a good vendor and gives the best prices he can, all he gets on sales is a small markup.

We need him in business so please do not bad mouth someone who is trying to help. I have dealt with him over 20 years, for him to still be in business in this market is a miracle. I respect him and his wife. I have only good things to say about him. Full throttle keep up the good work

Regards Ron

The price on the Buick TR's has always been $530 FOR EVERYTHING and the price change that went into effect will be even higher. Need to give Mike a brake here because it simply looks like an error on the website which may not have been his fault to begin with. Mike is a stand up guy who has bent backwards to help all of us out at one time or another. I'm sure there is a good explination..

PS: The Alky kits have been $530 on our site for over 2 years now http://www.gnsperformance.com/kitspage.html , Some offer it cheaper but that doesn't include the 3-bar MAP sensor.

man, you guys are acting like this is my fault!!! As stated I think they are a great company. I just thought since the order was done they should honor the price and not ask for more money. anyway, I just ordered a kit from Julio so its all good.

So were they cheaper with julio?

Are you guys kidding???? If someone has a bad experience with a vendor THEY SHOULD TELL EVERYONE!!! That is part of what keeps a business in line with its customers. The knowledge that word of mouth advertising gets around fast.

Also, if a price is posted they are supposed to honor it. Was it a mistake that it was listed at that price, yeah, still false advertising if they don't honor it. When I lived in San Antonio I got a set up subwoofers for $100 cheaper then the price they were supposed to be that day because the company had accidentally left the sale price tag on it even though that sale had ended a week prior. I told them to give me that price and they said no problem, by state law they had to since it was the advertised price. (probably different per state, that was just my experience in one state)

The price increase at Alky Control happened awhile ago, so they have had plenty of time to update the site. I saw the kit at that $470 price two days ago and almost ordered it myself.

Before I'd consider your report seriously, I'd have to hear Full Throttle's explaination....What did they say when you called them and complained? :)

I got an email saying my order was cancelled. "if you still want the item you can reorder for $530" thats what I got.

There was a recent price increase, check other vendor websites, they are 530 without the 3 bar and 599 with, including alky control. It was a simple mistake when we changed it on line the other day, I am very sorry we made a mistake, it happens, but no one is trying to cheat or decieve you here. Sorry for the inconvenience.

There. Its done. Mike chimed in and explained it as usual.

OP you should have called and spoke to Marianne in the first place before posting a negative feedback.

FTS...great vendor, great customer service. Thanks Mike and Marianne.:)

Got to jump i and give my take.

I have bought a ton of stuff from Full Throttle, I always recommend them to anyone new to the Buick world and all my transactions have been flawless and delivered in 2 days. That being said I have an issue the way the above transaction was handled. First off I was shocked to see the thumbs down but I read on anyway and I feel that the customer is right to write his displeasure. Im not gonna get into the legal nonsense behind advertised prices but I will get into the "do whats right" aspect. The right thing to have done was to simply honor the original price and then change the website asap. "The customer is always right" expression is really a way to keep that customer from talking to a bunch of his friends/family and telling of a bad transaction. I believe other members may agree with me but may not be comfortable writing about it due to the initial support for Full Throttle. I would have been mad that about the way the order was cancelled and no attempt for direct communication took place. Thats a $55.00 difference and deserves a explanation. Even if Full throttle had taken a few dollars loss in the transaction at the $475.00 price, the loss is really zero when one considers the volume of business. Give someone an inch, they will take a mile! Vendor, the Wife, ur kids, it dont matter who they are.
