On Thursday, I saw a set of Chamion heads advertised on the board being sold by Fabian. I sent him an email saying I would like to buy them, and asked him to send me an email back and we could work on payment.
He wrote back and said, "ok glen talk to me my price doesnt include shipping i should of said that in
the ad but talk to me and we can talk a price ..."
I replyed and said I have an account with UPS, so shipping can be billed to me. I also said I felt his price was fair as is. I then asked if a money order was OK.
He sent me an instant message and we talked about the condition of the heads for a minute or two. I then asked again if a money order was OK. He said it was ok with him. I asked for his information and was only given an address. I asked who to make it out to, and he gave me his name, then said make if for 600. I was a little confused so I asked what he meant. He said make it out for $600. I though OK, not going to argue. I told him I would get the money order sent out ASAP.
So the very next day, I went to the bank and got a money order. I went to the post office, and mailed it. When I got back from the post office, I went online to email that the payment was on the way, and I saw "turboted231" said "sale pending fabain getting the money, thanks ted". I thought WTF? I just sent payment for them. So I replyed that I had beat him to it, and also sent him an email asking what was going on. He said he was wiring Fabian the money, that he was getting the heads. I check my email and PM's and guess what, no notice from Fabian that he sold them to someone else!
Finally later this evening, Fabian sends me a PM after seeing the post I made and said he was sorry that he had to go with the highest offer and the quickest means of getting payment. That seems like BS to me, he was the one that told me $600. Also, I had originally said I would pay $750. He never even gave me the chance to pay more once Ted said he wanted them. Also, he never said he needed the money quick. I asked if a money order was OK, he said yes. Had I known, I could have had a buddy send Paypal.
The least he should have done was at least let me know he had another offer and check with me to make sure I hadn't sent the payment yet, like I said I was going to do. Now I am just hoping that my $600 money order gets returned to me.
