Gang of girls blow up house in London

I had to post this to get opinions. It's confusing to me that a little bit of liquid (whatever it is) poured into a mail slot and ignited can blow a house to bits. They initially thought it was a gas explosion. Maybe they should stick to that theory:

I've been around Methyl Ethyl Ketone before (MEK). I doubt it could knock a house down. Maybe a high amount that was allowed to fully vaporize could do it. It can be found at pretty much any paint store.

methyl ethyl ketone is definitely not the same stuff as methyl ethyl ketone peroxide. Don't know much about MEK peroxide, but acetone peroxide is one of the things proposed for the clear liquid explosive that is the reason we can now only take tiny amounts of liquid on airplanes now, sigh. Lots of info on it also on the net. Plenty of explosive power but not all that trivial to make, and certainly not something you would whip up in the bathroom of an airplane.

It looks like they figured out how to make it. They probably got all the info they needed off the net.
