Gas Tank Fillerneck?

I am putting in a new gas tank in an 86 t type and I bought the tank and filler neck separate instead of together. How do install the filler neck! It looks like it presses in and then what? How do
I seal the neck to the tank? Can I solder around it like I've been advised to? Any advice is appreciated.

You could connect it with a silicone hose and 2 clamps like the up pipe in the engine. Many gas tank filler necks are connected that way.

got my new gas tank off ebay for $96 with filler neck....just sayin

Solder it, it's easy enough to do.

Don't forget to paint it or rust proof it.
