I have a WOMW GNX style gauge cluster with Caspers Elec. wiring, and was working with no issues for a couple of years.
Recently gauge fuse blew and fried a elec component. Purchased just the replacement part and repaired that. I checked all the terminals and connections on the cluster and reinstalled, and damn, did the same thing!
It appears that the ground lead is overloading, blowing the fuse and frying up the PCB where the ground conductor feeds.
I have checked the gauges for an internal faults with a digital multimeter, and they appear to be okay.
I guess my next step is to trace back the ground into the car, but where does it go and attach to?
I don't know if anyone has experienced this, even with stock gauges, but any help in tracking this electrical gremlin down would be appreciated.
