Well, hopefully in the enxt few days, im gonna get my gauges installed, but i was hopin for a little help in this, especially with my caspers gauge. I got a set of used oil press, water temp, boost, and knock gauges. For the oil and water, those are easy, i jsut dont know where on the block the bungs for the sensors to screw into are (i assume they just both replace the sensors for their respective idiot lights? I just dont know where physically those are). Now for the boost gauge, whats the most accurate source for boost measurement to tap into? Is there a port i can jsut plug it into, or am i going to need to get a 3-way plice sorts thing to tap onto a pre-exisitng line? And now for the biggie, my knock gauge. On teh gauge itself, tehres a little sticker that says "A - Battery Negative, B - Battery Positive, C - Signal ##########" where the #### represents the label being all scratched up so as to be illegible. Where does this other wire go?? I'm assuming somewhere on the knock sensor, but A) I have no idea where that is and B) im assuming tis got more than one wire going to it, and i dont know which one to splice into. Thanks in advance for the help guys!!!!

Take a look at the front right bottom of your intake manifold. You'll see a small bolt that can be removed. You should be able to get a 1/8" nipple at any plumbing supply that will screw right into that hole once the plug/bolt has been removed. That's a good source for your boost gauge.

Oil pressure is found above the oil filter its a big sensor 3 wires go to it. Temp gauge is located right by the thermostat housing, below I believe, only one wire. Knock gauge, I would have to go and look at my car to remember......but car is about 20 minutes away. I am sure someone will chime in. Sounds like you got all the good gauges to have though:cool:

Also, im assuming the oil pressure and ewater temp gauges will make my idiot lights for those non-functional? Not that i really care, im jsut curious

Yeppers...by the time those lights come on it usually too late...:D...you may want to try to put a hardware splitter on the oil one. I didn't but some guys perfer too. Nick
