I am looking to buy one and was wondering what people who have purchased them have thought of them.

I have the f-body radiator and it keeps the engine cool for the most part. The problem is the stock can set up. If I am driving down the road with the A/C on the car stays around 165 to 170 on a 95 degree day but as soon as I come to a stop the car heats up to around 200 or more. If I turn off the A/C the temps will drop to 170 or a little more.

So obviously I need more air flow across the radiator but will the gbody dual fan kit be good enough to keep the temps down. The other aspect of it is when I come to a stop I don't have enough air flow across the A/C condenser to keep the A/C really cold. I need more air. I am running the slic.

Not sure which one Brian at gbody sells, cant look because i am on my phone, but check out the ALRADCO dual fan setup. I have his rad and it is amazing. Ordering his fans next.

The one from alradco is over $100 more. If I was running a front mount then I might consider the alradco but I am just looking to get a little more air flow to get the A/c to work better without the temps getting up to 200.

Try sealing your factory setup first. I used foam rubber pipe insulation from Lowes. Made my own gaskets for the shroud to meet the radiator, making the fans draw as much as possible through the radiator/FMIC and condenser. Works great.

I have the foam pipe insulation on the factory shroud and I didn't see much change. I have even combed the condenser fins and the radiator is pretty new. The air deflecting box is pretty much intact. One of the sides is missing but I don't think the one side would affect it this much. I am going to order a new box in kit but I am certain I am getting as much air flow as the factory system puts out.

Has anyone else installed one of gbody's dual fan kits that has any input?

I have the dual fans and FBody rad in my car. Temps never go over 170 in the hottest months.

Since it seems to me like you are only interested on the dual fans Gbody sells, why not just email Brian and ask him for more info or specs on them.

Imo the ramcharger g body fans arent good for a TR thats driven alot as the fan motors wont last.

I want an unbiased opinion. I know Brian is going to stand behind his product. He isn't going to say it is bad. I have done just about everything possible to try and help this cooling system and I have improved most of it.

If the system Brian is selling will work with my car it doesn't make sense to buy one that is a $100 more. I'm not trying to come across as not willing to buy any other kit but the one from Brian is a reasonable price and if it will work for me I will save the $100 for other upgrades. The one from alradco appears to be a great product but I am running a slic and I think his might be overkill for my application.

Thanks turbo nasty that is the kind of info I am looking for. If anyone else has an opinion I am open for it. If enough people have had bad luck with this kit then I will go with the alradco fans but I want to make an educated and informed decision. I put an average of 3000 miles on the car a year but mostly from the power tour.

I dont have ac.I do have Brians dual fan setup.I bought ,I believe 3 years ago, work well,I did have to trim the plastic tabs on the dual fan setup, which i believe is intrepid.I also have a aluminum radiator. Car stays cool,17o or colder,Hope this helps .

Im only speaking from my first hand experience with two sets...both had the motors die even with a hotwire. Brian is a friend and good vendor and mean no bad juju to him or his business. Jmho that they arent for a car that gets alot of mileage. Otherwise they should work. I like the jegs dual fans personally

I have the ramchargers aka gbody fans. Had them on a daily driver for 6 years before one of the motors burnt up. I live in VA and heat and humidity the temps where always below 200.

Well just so you know and weigh your own opinion.

I also have slic on my car with spal dual fans with a becool radiator, just installed them last year and haven't had anymore overheating issues since.

Running around 180 even with AC going.

I agree with Bryan. I am still using the stock fan set on high speed on my 4 core aluminum Griffen rad and my temps never rise past 180 on the hottest of days stuck in traffic. I don't have AC in the car anymore, but I do have a thick front mount RJC intercooler which covers the entire rad.

I forgot to mention that I use a Caspers fan switch on high as well. My front mount is large , Cottons unit covers the entire radiator too.

Are you sure your stock fan is turning on? I can't believe the factury didn't install a fan that could keep your car 185 even with the A/C on. There is a fan sensor/switch to the left (driver side) of the throttle body that can fail. Mine did and drove me nuts until I figured it out. I would let it idle in driveway, pop the hood and see if the fan is running. Here is what it looks like. http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/we...air_18890712-p?searchTerm=radiator+fan+switch

Our OEM fans are 25plus years old, some may have held up better then others.

But when you start changing or upgrading parts you have to address the whole picture, not just the part you want to upgrade.
