Also what would be the reason for your fuel pressure to stay at 50 no matter what you do to the regulator new fuel pump new fuel filter new regulator.

It's a hand held calibrated gauge with the release valve tried 2 different regulators .

Yes it's running while I try to adjust the fuel and it's the stock type fuel pressure regulator with the Billet top I tried 2 of them . And one kirbins.

take the belt off the alternator and make sure your volts drop into the normal range. if so, I would replace the alternator. 17v all the time will cause issues.

did you verify the voltage with a voltmeter?

Bob

Yeah, that Voltage will cause havoc. Mine will be at 14.3 at start up and give 50 psi fuel pressure, after 10 minutes and warm up, the output drops to 13.8V and I am able to see 43 psi with vacuum off. I have a larger than stock fuel pump so it explains a little of the issue of overpowering the return fuel line. I would pull that alternator and take it down to a parts store, they should check it for free, ask them for the specs, (what the output is reading). could be something inside it went not allowing it to regulate right.

Gonna verify with voltmeter yea bob I even pull the plug at the alternator and volts stood the same at 17. And 50 lbs of pressure it stays there even when I try to adjust it up or down .

So went out there with a voltmeter alternator was kicking out about 18.74 batteryget about the same little less volts a Scanmaster was getting 16-17 fuel pump was getting 15.43 .so I turn the car off and everything went to like normal 12-13 V and was able to add just feel pressure line off 45 and then went to like 36-37 with the line on . Then I turned The car off to reset the ECM and volts were back up to light the 18 and 17 volts
