I finally got my block painted and was a tad bit enthusiastic installing the freeze plugs. I wanted to do the back plugs but didn't have a way to get to he back of the block while it was on the stand.
I figured if I tied a rope over the rafter and left the block on the stand, I could flip the block and stand onto a 1ft tall bucket. The trick was to take up all slack as the stand was getting taller as it tipped. Then had to slow descent on to bucket.
Well it worked and continued to finish all the plugs. Here's some pics
I was able to do whatever I needed to at the back.
I did have to take up the slack again and thrown the block back up right. Tad tight on the rope and had the flying block and stand.
Did well overall, just with a bit of leverage making he block not so heavy.
Ready to load the guts now!
Andrew.
