Getting Factory Headers Welded

I took my headers off today and there are multiple cracks on each side. I'm hoping to get them welded because I can't afford new ones at this time. Is there anything special I shoud ask the shop to do that is welding them. I've heard that they are low-grade stainless, is that true?

Yes, they are stainless steel, and TIG welding is the way to
go. They should be restrained during welding, and stainless filler
should be used. Kind of hard to find a good TIG weldor,
but they are around.
